The Hawks weren't standing around after the game, waiting for the cup to arrive. |

And those RAINS...were predicted...hell, my phone had warning after warning.....and gave plenty of notice. IF the Hawks won, they would need to be with the cup....and guess what....The Hawks wernet driving to Ohare to go party...so once again, why not have the hotel room close to the UC? So when CUP watching Guy 1 needed a break, Cup guy 2 comes in .... |

After the game ended, the teams went through the handshake line, the Conn Smythe trophy was presented to Keith, and then the Cup came out. There was no delay. |

There was no delay. Stop ruining the imaginary narrative! Maybe it got to the UC later than planned, but there was no delay in the presentation of the Stanley Cup to Toews. #ImaginaryTelevision |

The vaunted trophy arrived fashionably late......... the crew escorting the Cup to the facility left its hotel in the outskirts of Chicago at puck drop.........AT PUCK DROP?????? Even though the crew eventually got the police escort, it still did not arrive to the rink on time. The presentation of the Cup and the Conn Smythe Trophy, the latter of which was given to Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith, could not go on as initially planned, http://espn.go.com/chicago/nhl/story/_/id/13087877/2015-stanley-cup-finals-delayed-stanley-cup-arrives-chicago-blackhawks-clinch-championship-game-6-win |

Additionally, Bettman just came out on the ice with no introduction and started talking, thats because THE CUP WAS LATE...and when it got there, they rushed it out... Did you not see the carrier rushing the Conn Smythe to the ice...he was short of running. |

He gets killed every year, no matter the venue. |

Gloopan Kuratz wrote: How the hell is the Stanley Cup late to the game? So the tradition is that the Cup is not in the building to start the game...if one team cant win the cup that night...OK reasonable tradition. THEN HAVE THE CUP AT A HOTEL WITHIN MINUTES OF THE UC.....NOT IN ELMHURST! |

The story that I didn't grasp was that the Cup was rushed to the UC with a police escort that got to speeds near 100 mph. Where were they coming from that this was both necessary and possible? |

They got an Ohare area hotel...which really made no sense... The Hawks were favored to win that game...Vegas speaking...but still...you know there is a very good chance you will be bringing it to the UC...and not flying out...Plus, the guys that have to take care of the cup, I am 100% sure would like to have a room downtown instead of going to Ohare.. It had to be rushed because of the weather..and the street closures...I understand that part...but you EASILY could have avoided the unexpected flooding delays...but chose not to... Traveling secretary? Please dont post a Seinfeld pic like you are the only one that thought of it.... |

None of what they did makes any sense. Assuming you fly it in the day before you stay at any hotel you want. Then a few hours before the game starts you load Stanley into the trunk of a limo and ride down to the UC. Limo parks in the bowels with Stanley remaining in the trunk. The purple-suited guy goes up to the press box and watches the game. At the second intermission he goes down, retrieves Stanley and gets him ready for a possible presentation. If no cup winner that night then he and Stanley ride the limo back to the hotel or airport. |
