Forget the "dangerous" angle......why is a baby at a professional baseball game? Did he explain on his local media tour?

I don't get the outrage at a baby being a a game. Babies need fresh air too.

God forbid people think beyond the obvious. I may have a baby but I have the right to do whatever I want so that trumps every other consideration.

Shocking how the stupid can't wait to yell 'guns' and/or presume this asswipe and his dumbass* kid has anything to do with it in any capacity whatsoever. There's shootings in Chicago so shut up about this Caller Bob and his crotchfruit ... well, maybe don't bring the kid into a city with such prevalent gunplay for starters. Dope.

Of all the ballparks to interfere with a pop-up foul ball ...

(* - one can only hope it's the milkman's kid lest it inherit anything from that schmuck)

Can't find a sitter? Tough shit. Playtime is over when there are children involved.

"Hell no I'm not staying home !!! The baby will be fine at a Cubs game"

God forbid any parent be inconvenienced.

But it is Wrigley and we can do whatever we want. We are special people here living in a special community. You like my kid I wanted at 45 and my yellow lab I make you sit with at the outdoor coffee cafe.

I could give 2 shits about sitting behind the dugout. But if I was, I sure as hell wouldn't have a baby with me. I know I should be thinking of myself first, sorry.

Other than sitting in the path of some foul balls coming in hot, there isn't a problem. That's not the best place to be holding a baby.

Seriously I think this whole thing is silly. I'm sure it's significantly more dangerous Travelling to the game than it is to sit in those seats.
What is the age where it's appropriate to sit in the first row?

Post subject:  Re: Critics of Dad Catching Ball with Baby

I'll say this. Going by what Darkside said. Percentage wise, you're probably more likely to have your child hurt riding in a car to the grocery store than you are sitting at in the front row at the Cubs game. Just talking percentages. More likely a car accident than ball or bat hitting a kid at the game.

How many babies do you see with moms at grocery stores? I see a lot. So are they bad mothers for risking that drive instead of getting babysitters? Where's that outrage?

Boom!!!! I win.

This is not about the "dangerous" angle. It is common sense. This is yet another case of the "I will not be inconvenienced" mentality that a lot of society seems to have. When you have a baby, there are activites that get shelved and going to a professional baseball game should be one of them.

Correct. Dad should have left Mom at home to tend to child. Go to game and party it up. Divorce to follow soon. Come on PMatt you know better than this.

So a mom and dad take a baby to a game and it is turned into they "will not be inconvenienced"

You guys are something. You know nothing about them or anything at all, but yet you judge them by one moment in their lives.

Darkside and Walt are dead on here.

Worry about your own lives instead of getting upset at a family going to a baseball game.

That is absolutely ridiculous. There's thousands of babies at hundreds of games every year. Its a bloody family event man.
What age does it become appropriate to bring a child to a game in your opinion?

Is there a certain row or section that is baby friendly? Like, is it ok to being a baby to a game if you're in the upper deck?
