Here in America...

we let people exit the elevator FIRST before entering said elevator.
we move to the back of the elevator so that everyone that's been waiting in the line can fit in and get to their boring ass job.
we don't yell at our co-worker from one side of the elevator to the other.
we don't hit the close door button because you don't think anyone is coming even though the elevator stopped on the fucking floor.
we don't stand in front of the elevator button on a phone call, not allowing me to click the button to get to where I need to go.
and we DEFINITELY don't hit the wrong button forcing me to stop at one more floor in a 42 floor building when I've already stopped at half of them on my 5 minute journey to my desk.

Crop dusting, however, is perfectly acceptable.

Was just thinking, Weird Al missed out on a parody song of Aerosmith... "Farts in an Elevator".

About the only thing that bugs me, no wait two things that bug me are: I cannot stand stand in front of door opening when I am trying to get out. Dude, I go out then you come in. Also, I dislike the person that comes in when I am going down realizes he wanted up and then tries to get out. Forcing a minimum of two open/close cycles. Happens all the time to me. You wait and go to your floor and suck up your delay.

Working in the Sears Tower is a trip for elevator etiquette...first of all, a lot of people get lost because they don't understand that you may have to take 2, maybe 3 different elevators to get to your floor.

99% of the time if an elevator is full, another will open right away, or within 30 seconds, yet some people feel a need to pack into one like sardines.

I always try to hold the door open if I hear someone coming, and I always let the ladies go first....even the old bags :D

My issues is with the use of an elevator to walk up or down 1 or 2 floors. Most people could use the exercise.

Most times, you get to where you are going quicker by walking up a flight or two.

Quit smoking, you'll no longer have to hump it up and down the elevator half a dozen times a day.
