Haven't seen the police report yet, but my wife and daughter are both okay.
My wife still made it to work and my daughter got to school.
We only have one car (a 2003 Neon) is it's highly probable that
it's gonna be a total loss. My wife said her car is pretty fucked, but the cop
said the other driver's fuckin' big ass SUV was probably even more jacked.
One of my biggest irrational fears (or rational depending how you look at it) is
losing my family in a car accident. Must be a September thing, because on 9/20/14,
my wife got rear-ended, (no jokes, please.....).
Just glad they're okay, but I've heard Allstate is notorious for fucking up claims,
and the offending driver has Allstate..........
:(

If it helps I was the offending driver before and had Allstate. From my view they were very easy and did all they could to help/resolve the other driver's damages.

If it's a 2003 Neon I would guess that is a total loss for sure. The biggest problem is getting enough of a payout to find something decent in that price range. Ironically I think Allstate is running those commercials about women being good drivers.....

Total loss claims are pretty easy to adjust. Kelly Blue Book value. Here's your check.

I read the headline and thought, "what did T-Bone do with Shirtless' wife?"

Edited to add: denisdman's 2nd post, the 3rd one was funny though.

Where you run into problems with auto adjusters is two fold:

1) There are medical injuries, ouch my neck hurts
or
2) The fault is in question

Your case sounds clear cut and is simply car damage. If your family has physical injuries, that piece is more difficult to adjust. Plus that car is older, so Allstate shouldn't be too concerned with cutting the check.

My wife assured me that they are both ok, but it scared the shit out of my daughter.
She also said something about the cop had it on dashcam, and said the collision was "LOUD".
The fault is not in question, ....the lady just flew thru a stop sign and wham.
What's a 2003 Neon worth? $5 and a twelve pack of Heineken?
:(

Glad the wife and daughter are OK, SD.

Maybe the Smithsonian would be interested in the Neon.

The Original Kid Cairo (or was it SPMack  ) would not approve of this post.

And glad to hear your family is ok.

Glad it all ended up alright.

Don't get a 2016 Neon.

yeah, great timing for that.

while being on pittmike's foe list, i also submit that allstate did pretty good with staying on top of the claim. GEICO worked with them and they wound up paying for the total loss and stuff, so you should be good, SD. glad everyone's OK.

I hope not...my wife said she was a middle aged Indian woman.
I have a middle aged Indian woman doctor, so this might actually turn into my lucky day,.

And once again, a blanket "Thank you" for all the kind words about my girls. :salut: :salut: :salut:
