This is the furniture plan protection company. I've purchased their plans through Ashley. Supposedly covers any damage to your furniture for five years. Our kitchen table was damaged a couple months ago. So I filed my first claim with Guardsman. It's a complete fucking scam. The cost was relatively minimal at least. Just putting this out there, so no one else wastes their money. Luckily the other stuff I purchased made it the five years without incident. Only wish I would have done a second of research when I bought the "plan." http://www.yelp.com/biz/guardsman-furni ... d-rapids-2 |

They were horrible to work with and I'm pretty sure that the salesman at Ashley Furniture blatantly lied about it too but obviously I had no way of proving it.http://www.yelp.com/biz/guardsman-furni ... d-rapids-2 Also, Ashley Furniture pretty much blows too. Never again. |

Never again. All my furniture is from Ashley. I love their stuff. Holds up well and is priced competitively (they matched some random place in NY I found online for bedroom set earlier this year). This claim was for surface scratches, so it's not like it was defective. I e-mailed Ashley as well, saying I'm no longer a customer as long as they continue to have a relationship with Guardsman. Probably won't do a thing, but who knows. |

My Ashley furniture did not hold up well. The ottoman had a leg fall off within the first 6 months, and I had to nail it back on, and the couch had every single frame bar come out from the side because it split the wood. Ended up throwing it out after 5 years, and that was with a year of using books to support the bottom of the frame. I guess it could have been just bad luck but would not consider it again. |

My two couches, two chairs, coffee table, and media cabinet are going on six+ years and still look great. |

I don't know offhand if anyone other than Mahoney ever did that spot with them ... probably some others but I don't know of it. I can't possibly imagine Raven doing it. Fun fact ... got to see the second iteration of that spot at the Odeon ... I forget who but someone from the Torch was in attendance and was talking about the spot he'd seen in (I think) up in Minnesota the night before but even having some idea of what might happen didn't detract from seeing it live and in living color. |

Now that you mention it, Raven's ultra violent moments seem to be contained to Dreamer and Sandman so it's more than likely Mahoney. Was that Odeum show the one where Sid appeared? |
