My vote would have been for starting Clayton but the series was done, so whatever. There's got to be some behind the scenes stuff. Joe wouldn't show this guy up if he wasn't a peen behind the scenes.

He will probably be in spring training and if he pitches well, be the 5th starter. Yes, he has done very well in the first half of the past 2 seasons, so you have to hope that trend continues. I think they will add 2 starters, so Hendricks and Hammel will have to battle with others for that 5th spot. But having pitching depth would be a nice luxury we have not enjoyed for a long time.
