so i've got channel 9 on for bulls game #2 and what do i see but a commercial for the 2015 bulls.... first shot is derrick rose, then it jumps over to a shot of MJ.... then a shot of butler and then it jumps over to a shot of pippen.... and while they had enough restraint to not do the same thing for hoiberg/phil, the rest of the commercial is basically showing highlights of the 2014/15 bulls right b4 it splices to a corresponding/parallel highlight of the vintage jordan era bulls...... SO BASICALLY IT'S SAYING THAT THESE 2015-16 BULLS ARE LIKE THE JORDAN ERA BULLS!??!?!

guys, i'm me and i can give you 5000+ words about how shitty this is..... but i think a simple #comeonson will suffice!

has anybody else seen this commercial? i mean it starts off with a shot of rose then a shot of MJ.... if that isnt enough to set off your WTF-meter idk what the fuck would.

Yeah, that's pretty lame, but not as lame as the "come on out to a Bulls game to watch Kobe and Iverson beat the crap out of us" campaign circa 2002.

i saw a second version of this commercial that has a whole bunch of classic bulls clips going all the way back to black and white shots of what i assume are first season clips.... and that one made more sense when you group together all of the eras of bulls basketball and end it with that BULLS/50 logo that they've got on the jerseys to commemorate the bulls' 50th anniversary.

but that first commercial i saw that compared this team to the jordan era bulls was indeed just #comeonson.

Would've been great if they had a Gar/Crumbs mash-up.

Assuming had some big Red in those highlights.

Grandfather almost bought into the Bulls in 1965. Bought a Condo instead. It was the new thing. THE CONDOMINIUM!

I saw a shot of a young Johnny Kerr in that commercial.

I was his paperboy in my youth. And he took good care of me at Christmas.

I am patiently awaiting the Tim Floyd-Fred Hoiberg mash-up.

Iowa State pride!

I wonder if they're going to include any footage of Paxson smacking Vinny Del Negro around in these promos.

come to think of it, you don't really see any of the last generation of bulls.... no luol deng, no ben gordon, and certainly no ben wallace.

i'd argue that ben wallace deserves a glimpse in a bulls/50 commercial, seeing as he played a part in the collapse of the team that ran skiles out of town and continued under jim boylan, which ultimately led to the original tryhard bulls missing the 8th seed by a game or two, which led to them getting the #1 pick which got them derrick rose, who is pretty much michael jordan according to this advertising campaign.

if ben wallace isn't going around suspending joakim noah for a game or two, who knows if the bulls end up 1-2 games better, make the #8 seed, and then the NBA can't rig them the #1 pick for derrick rose? * twilight zone theme *

...i'll settle for jalen rose, donyell marshall, or bill cartwright coaching.

Yep.

Give Harry credit, he at least threw ideas against the wall. Not good ideas, but ideas nonetheless.
