Once again intimating there is something wrong with the crowd at home games. Yea Kyle , they made Gould miss 2 fg and were responsible for the pick 6. Stfu you overgrown hillrod.

Kyle is right. Anyone who has watched a Bear game on TV since the 80's knows the crowd sucks.

jimmy theres no deader ass crowd in sport than the Blackhawks home crowd. They have managed to win 3 Cups despite that. Bitching about the crowd after you lose the game is fucking lame.

It's lame but it would be nice to hear more noise. Our fans have sucked in recent years.

Show me where I blamed fans for our loss. We play the game, and we didn't play well enough. That's why we lost. Relax

Maybe...but you'll sell less tickets to opposing fans if the team is good.

This team has been awful at home this season...doesn't give the crowd much to cheer about.

I attended the bed wetting that was the Vikings game...the crowd was fine...the team...not so much.

The quote they're playing on the radio he started to go at the crowd then backed away. He didn't say what he wanted to say.

As a facility, Soldier Field blows. Most SEC schools have much larger stadiums than the 2nd or 3rd biggest market in the NFL.

Sorry... I can only truly relax when sports stars spell it out for me.

Having attended most home games and 7 road games over the last 10 years, here is my take on why there is less noise

1) Small stadium = small crows = less noise

2) 2/3 east side is > $265 club seats. Perhaps not necessarily the screamy-yelly demo?

3) Too many long TV timeouts interrupt the flow.

4) Hard to whistle and clap in cold weather with mittens on.

5) Bad teams. While the video board implores us to get loud on opponent third downs, it is hard to muster more energy than some of the players seem to.

6) The design. Maybe while seats are closer to the field than old SF it does not seem to hold the sound, at least not like Seattle (been there twice). And it looks like the majority of the seats are in the 400's. If true then of course they are the farthest from the field.

my two biggest pet peeves are almost everytime the bears go for it in a 4th and short situation the stadium gets loud for some reason... doesnt help the offense at all to do so. on defense the fans start making noise AFTER the other team has broken the huddle... would help more to start making noise sooner.

i blame a number of things... normal fans can't afford $300 a seat tickets that comprise pretty much the entire east side and the media level on the west side. also just the general level of drunkeness that is observed. even with $10 beers people have no problem shelling out for another round.

How about the Bulls home crowd? You know, for people who think dropping $200 or whatever to go to a Hawks game is too populist.

This might be the dumbest thing in sports. Crowd noise. Only one or two stadiums is this really a factor.
If you can't win without the crowd screaming you can't win because you're not good enough.

If only the people watching at home (you know, the one's who know better than attending a game) would start screaming at their TVs, then there would be a roar that Long could notice.

You know who often complains about the lack of crowd noise? Teams that lose at home to the Bears. Go figure.

This post is dumb. You feed off the noise of a home crowd and it can rattle an opposing team. It's why dome teams try to pump noise into the stadium.

Bears games suck! One of the worst modern day sporting events around. Small shitty place you need to a mile to...unless you have cadi club
