They're pretty much the worst people in the world. Can we all agree on that?

Bigfan is a man of honor and integrity. I don't think he would stand for people not paying up on a bet made.

I have no idea what you are talking about , but a BET does need 2 sides of risk to be paid.

Nothing worse than the "What do you give me if I make this shot" guy.

Would be a nice way to go through life make unilateral agreements. "Hey, will buy me lunch if I toss this crumpled up paper in from 35 out?"

Even if the persons says YES....dont consider it a bet

Apologies. Here's some background if you are not familiar.

$1000.00

Sounds good to me.

Scorehead is the guy who named the stakes. There is 2 sides of risk here. Looks clear to me.

That's extremely clear. I wouldn't wager $1 with a guy that wouldn't honor an avatar bet.

It seems like there is a history here of not displaying honor. You would think a captain of industry would have more integrity.

There was a guy I went to college with who did this all the time. Then he would talk shit if you wouldn't agree to it, even though there was no risk on his part. And he never understood why this made no sense.

I would have bet anyone that Kirkwood would be back by now. Then I'd put scorehead to shame by paying up.

That's clear as day. How is he not going to pay that? What could the excuse possibly be here?

I don't know how this applies in this case (the rule is poorly worded) but anyway...

Scorehead is like the Trump of CSFMB. Facts don't matter. It wasn't a valid bet because Scorehead said it wasn't a valid bet, even though, like you said, it couldn't be any more clear that SH owes Chus $1,000 now.

Not honoring contracts when you're asked to pay up? Scorehead is just running his bet like a business, not sure what everyone's so mad about.

If truth be told, I don't think SH is as high ranking or as well to do as his historic comments would lead you to believe. Upper middle class at best.

My point was more meant to mock the idea that captains of industry in the US had any sort of integrity.

That's what I figured too. I tend not to believe people who always tell you how well they're doing.

Hey Chus - would you accept a donation to a left wing charity? That would be a win win. SH saves face and gets a beloved tax deduction. You get satisfaction...and we all enjoy the schadenfreude.

I don't see Scorehead paying even one dollar of this bet up, in any manner. The guy has zero integrity.

I remember that time Mr. Reason lost a $900 bet to Nas. I'm guessing Mr. Reason paid up, since he paid me $100 on the same lost bet. Be like Mr. Reason. Don't be like Scorehead.
