this generation is far too dependent on caller ID. I've lost track of how many messages I've received with no call back number. My phone is off a lot because of where I work and caller ID no function if phone off. |

Fence guy once didnt finish a job for me...and took some of the material, so I called him often and left the phone in my car while the radio played, knowing he needed to listen to a while message if he wanted to delete it. After about a week, all the material showed up. |

Download a visual voicemail app. Cuts down the misery of checking voicemails by at least 60%. |

I read somewhere that the three seconds of silence followed by a hangup is also a tactic employed by scammers. Gullible people are more likely to respond to the missed call on caller ID by calling the number back. That snags the scammer a live person who might be more likely to fall for their scam. |
