Today....meet Walter (hello friend). Walter, 41 years old and an IT Manager, found himself looking for a new home due to pending divorce. Being a long-time Score listener, the first phone call he placed was to David. (Good Job, Walter). After explaining his economic situation including child support and maintenance to David, David could only conclude, Walter had a good income, but would not be able to get approved for mortgage. David thanked Walter for thinking of him and he want on his way. Walter also checked with 2 other lending institutions only to end up with the same result. Disappointed, Walter started exploring rental options. He contacted a local real estate agent inquiring about rental homes in the area.

Shortly into their first meeting the agent asked, "Gee, Walter...are you sure you don't want to buy a home?"

Walter Replied. "I'd love to, I know the market is great for the buyer right now, but I can't get approved for a mortgage....even though I have what I consider enough income".

The agent said, "Let me put you in contact with a mortgage I work with regularly. I've seen him help a lot of people".

Walter contacted the broker. Received instant pre-approval, found a beautiful home in Lindenhurst and closed with 30-yr FHA fixed mortgage within 60 days at a rate slightly above advertised rates. Two years later, Walter re-financed out of FHA and has never been happier.
Don't be a blind sheep, be like Walter.

Speaking of Hochberg, he needs a new shtick. His latest commercial started, "Joey has listened to hundreds of my commercials over the years, but still decided to talk to a real estate agent instead of me...big mistake."
