BRETT: I feel terrible about your friend Jerry. He's upset that I gave Kramer that chest of drawers, isn't he?

ELAINE: Why? Why d'you think he's upset?

BRETT: How could he not be? Living in that cramped little apartment. And outdated furniture, so terribly... un-Karl Farbman-like.

ELAINE: We're not gonna talk about Karl Farbman all night, are we?

BRETT: I hope not.

Brett leans across to kiss Elaine. Just as they begin to kiss, the Eagles' "Desperado" comes on the radio. Brett immediately breaks off the kiss, and stares off into the distance.

ELAINE: (surprised) Brett? Everything alright?

Brett makes no response.

ELAINE: Brett! What is it? Is there someone outside?

BRETT: Elaine, the song.

ELAINE: Oh. Oh, oh, phew. You know, for a minute there I thought it was like that urban legend about the guy with the hook who's hanging on the fender...

BRETT: Elaine, could you just not talk for one minute?

ELAINE: Sorry.

ELAINE: Sorry.

Its cool Lipid, you and I will fly the Eagles flag. I know its not exactly cool to be fans of them on this board and yes, Henley and Frey are world-class assholes but hey, so are B and B and look at all the fans they have here with half the talent.

I like The Eagles just fine. Most of their "hits" sound very different from one another, which is a difficult thing to accomplish (be it on purpose or not), and has nothing to do with artificial reasons (e.g., personnel changes).

I can dig that some people don't like The Eagles, but to not respect them is to probably be short-sighted at the least.

I like two Eagles...wow!

Been hearing "One of these nights" alot lately for some reason between FM radio and XM/Sirius...like every day at least once.

A friend of mine and I have been wondering if when you hear a song alot if there is some kind of meaning or mesage. Or is it just coincidence?

More often than not, when I go over to talk to one of the techs at work, Eagles or Don Henley will start playing on the radio...it's happened way too many times for it to just be coincidence...

On The Border (song) is always great. Take Hotel Califofnia and shove it deep in a hole and never dig it out ever. Most over played and over rated song in the history of music.

Normally, I'm all about bashing the 7 minutes of nonsense that is Hotel California. However, in this case, the most over play and over rated song in the history of music is Free Bird...and anything by Ke$ha is a close second.

Thanks for playing.

I don't hear Hotel California all that often on the radio, so I don't get the overplayed part...

...that being said, there are far better songs in the entire catalog, or even just that album for that matter...
