The remix of Gone is a top ten U2 song for me.

I really hate Rattle and Hum. Love AB and Joshua Tree and also Zoo TV stuff and All You Can't Leave Behind.

The mini-doc on Rattle and Hum is truly awful. I made it through it once.

You hate the album too?

I can see the movie. Unless you're a fanatic that movie was gonna be bad

October. I threw a brick through a window.

My biggest issue with U2 is that Edge never uses delay.

I certainly don't think that Zooropa is their best work and at the time I guess was a letdown from Achtung but it had some great songs and production.

But it was really an EP, something they wrote during the tour and put out during ZOO TV.

Sold and marketed as an LP. You don't put Johnny Cash on an EP.

FINE. Then it wasn't something they took a long, long time to make. For when they recorded it I think there is pretty damn good stuff on it. Some weird stuff too but it was a nice bookend to what they were doing.

It was an EP that they stretched to a full album because hey why not they were peaking in popularity.

I like it.

I ain't takin no fuckins! I know it was kinda thrown together but it was as I said still a LP. I just saw no love for it in this thread so I brought it up. No love for boy either. Man that shit was progressive in the day. We debate Michael Sam but Bono was singing I Will Swallow way back.

Unforgettable is where they got their sound locked down although I really love War. Joshua Tree is where they knocked it outta the park and it can't be argued IMHO. I'm not even a U2 fanboy.

In spin bono explained "The Fly" which is great. He said it was a guy calling from hell from a pay phone telling his wife " honey I'm in hell and I like it".
