Ok, so I'm relatively new to pandora b/c I have a lifetime sirius subscription, but I tried it recently and rather enjoy it (I know, welcome to 2005).

However, my favorite thing has been finding new to me artists that after the fact I'm amazed I hadn't listened to before.
My current favorite is Frank Turner. (Seriously, how had I not heard anything by him before?)

Anyone else or is it just me? I'll hang up and listen to your answer.

I've picked up on a few artists I wasn't familiar with and never heard before. I listen to it often enough
though that I get a lot of the same songs over and over. I've been trying to listen to full albums on YouTube
to break things up occasionally.

I guess I don't know anything about it. I have heard the name but never looked into it. I'm a lot like Psycory in that
I like to discover things about 10 years after they actually became popular and get discovered. Whatever the opposite of
hipster is.... I guess it might be doofus. :?

try it
it won't bite you
there's a desktop and a mobile app
it's free (with ads of course)
the mobile app limits you a little more if you don't have a paid subscription

but you can use as a Pandora type radio if you want to check out new things, or you can listen to full albums, individual songs you want, etc.
so basically it's Pandora, as well as allowing you to listen to specific things on top of that

why would he be listening to records when there's a woman, who is presumably his companion, sitting across from him

Reminds me of a tweet I favorited.

Why would a woman be with him when he's listening to records at a table across from her

Ad-Block eliminates the ads - visual and audio.

I download mp3s on soulseek and then store them on a hard drive. Other than that, I listen to a radio. It has an antenna and everything.

I've used it for ten years and haven't had a problem with it. I've had computer problems, as in "they all break," but never because of soulseek.

Kazaa, though, that thing got me good.

I tend to only collect DJ sets and re-edits, so i sort of accept the limitations of storage and technology and chalk it up to the ephemerality.
