I hope by "older" you mean older than Illinois, because fuck that album. The nerve it took to write music about Chicago that was that wispy and mincing.

I pretty much love everything he's ever done except most of Age of Adz and some Christmas song oddities.

Illinois is awesome, though it has nothing to do with Illinois. The reviews suggesting otherwise have always struck me as kind of silly.

I love the Michigan and Illinois CDs--and a lot of the Christmas music.

I like some of his stuff when it comes up on Pandora. I actually have the Age of Adz disc at home. Very different than his usual fare
but I'll have to admit it grew on me after a few listens.

It officially came out in 2015 but leaked in December , so it had kinda made the rounds before it had officially came out

If for some reason you haven't heard the other albums do so as they're all better

Maybe Straylight Run can get back together finally.

Modest Mouse better be good we have waited too long for a stinker.

Heard my first song on 101 just a moment ago. Sounds like Modest Mouse for sure. Thinking I should preorder this because that song didn't wow me and there are 5 on iTunes now. I bet there are gems in there.

Just heard "No Shade in the Shadow of the Cross."

It's gorgeous.

I heard that they had so much material that they did two albums worth and the other disc will be out later. Tempted to
check them out in Milwaukee.

Walked away with 2 out of the 3 Chicago shows, and Red Rocks from a pre-sale this morning. Finally, Red Rocks.

i think his rendition of "joy to the world" is one of the best christmas songs i've ever heard. "john wayne gacy" is still one of his most haunting songs.

Any good music in this thread? I hear Springsteen will release his next solo CD.

No, there's no good music in the thread about how much good music there's already been.
