Pretty amazing when your favorite artist covers one of your all time favorite bands....and to top it off does an unbelievable job.

Here is the video for Sturgill's cover of Nirvana's In Bloom

Here's your guy in his old band, shakes. And your wife's name is Sarah, isn't it?

I'm a big fan of reinventing a song as a cover. This was great and the video was fan diddly tastic. A Es my friend all aces.

That's really cool. He released that song on his new album, but with a totally different tempo.

Gonna have to check out some of their other stuff, but it looks like some of the songs made it onto Sturgill's first album,

Yea, my wife is Sara, but no H at the end.

Glad to see this thread again; reminded me to buy the album, which I just did. Damnit, though, I wish I had the CD.

I would not have guessed a really smart guy like you to like a country guy.

It's not mindless pop country. It is more along the lines of wilco being country.

Big props to Sturgill for getting a Grammy nomination for album of the year, well deserved!

Sailors Guide is an amazing album by one of the most talented musicians in all of music.
