Is this thing run like the Hollywood walk of fame? Where you get a star, as long as you make a large donation and pay for the star and its installation?

I don't think the donation part is right but being a media (Rolling Stone in particular) darling is important. Would you consider Joan Jett's collective work more important to music or females as Pat Benatar?

I think some people are troubled by the definitions the RRHOF uses as well. Whether it is because they do not understand the importance of early blues men or why the Supremes or Tupac are in seems to confuse some.

It's a racist thing.

Probably why Yes can't get in...they've got to be one of the most "soul-less" groups. But as JORR said, they are heavyweights of a genre, and I think they deserve to be in.

ELO certainly deserves it more than Tom Fucking Petty.

Would like to see Styx get in someday.

I loved Styx as a youth. I think they had like 4 high level selling albums in a row.

I like ELO and I don't think they suck. Good nomination

Pearl Jam sucks. Only yellow Ledbetter is any good because you can make up your own lyrics/mumbled words.

Speaking of the HOF wasn't there some controversy over Steve Miller this year? Something akin to accusing the whole thing as a scam

Is Supertramp in?

Because, if so, every man, woman, child, and dog should be destroyed along with the Earth. Just end it.

Breakfast in America played on an endless loop at every public pool I went to as a child.

God, I hate that song.

While I'll agree BiA isn't very good , Supertramp has some great stuff on their resume.

If ZZ Top, Kiss, and other middle-of-the-pack 70's rock acts are in, then Ted Nugent should be in, and his politics will preclude that from ever happening. Gary Glitter has a better chance.
