That is quite a good one.

Crazy thing about The Beatles, is I imagine if there are 30 posts on here, there will be 30 different responses. That's how great they were.

Penny fucking Lane?

Penny Lane is a great song. Brilliantly produced. Not sure why you responded so incredulously.

"Penny Lane" would be the crowning artistic achievement of Nigel Pine and the Leicester Stiffwhiffles or some other 6th tier British Invasion band. It is in the bottom 3rd of Beatles songs.

The real thread should be The Beatles with Paul McCartney vs The Beatles with Faul 'McCartney'. Which band was better.

That's an absurd statement. Musically and lyrically it's clearly in the top 3rd of their songs rather than the bottom third.

It is a stupid, cloying, saccharine song that no one would ever listen to on purpose. No one plays that song. It is just on at places.

Dear Prudence
If I Needed Someone
Dig A Pony
Norwegian Wood

"revolver" is my favorite album.

"good day sunshine" always puts me in a good mood.

but i think "a day in the life" is the best song they ever made.

We're all confirming that they literally have one hundred great songs.

I had missed The Long & Winding Road as one of my personal favorites.
