Not a lot of sympathy in the Noisewater home. "Too nasally" was mentioned.

Went out for a nice dinner this evening and one of the topics was who attended Chicago Gabe's wedding.

Yeah, that's really anemic social media for a CHR personality in this day and age. God, even WXRT's facebook and twitter continuously vomit out pictures of a frozen Lake Michigan and funny cat videos to keep their name in your feed. Then the replies are just aging gen-Xers begging them to stop playing the Foo Fighters so much.

So B96 really blew this but they're blowing a lot. I will reiterate that Entercom probably botched the 104.3 flip in that it should have been B96 instead. K-Hits was a dead brand, B96 is a heritage brand shackled to a dead format. The right thing to do probably would have been to bring back those old listeners to the station you're trying to recreate in the first place (or like two-thirds that and one-third early-aughts GCI) and then try to duel with Kiss with new music on a new identity at 104.3: call it 104.3 NOW or something. Or, you know, don't, because again, CHR is a dying format in an ever more fragmented music landscape and Chicago, already fragmented as it is, hasn't even been a great market for that format since arguably the WLS/WCFL days. For a long time we didn't have one.
