Still not sure if I am showing up. The only bars I know are over by the South Loop, Jaskson and State or thereabouts.

Whatever you guys do don't go to Buffalo Wings and Rings in Bridgeport. Wings are OK but the rest of the food sucks. Expensive too. Really want to hear Doug's new project live but I'm going to be in the boonies.

Good times indeed. Bravos to Doug on guitar and Jerry on vocals(Doug and the guy on bass did some backup vocals, too). Only one gremlin bubbled up on stage during the last song. I'm sure the DJ chick setting up her stuff had nothing to do with that.

Somebody can hit me with wrong section for posting this in the tunes instead of brush with fame. I got to meet The Original Kid Cairo. Who made his live and direct stage debut with the passive Agressor band backing him. He only did one song, but to describe his performance, it was tight. Hit the Rakim sample right on time after all three of the verses. Hip Hop has another ego to deal with. Great.

Thumbs down to Frank Costanza for brushing us off. Stink even texted him to drop by after I showed up. You missed out, I'm just saying. Had a great time and the show had left me wanting more. Haven't had that much sleep yet and I need a disco nap before the start of the Brickyard 400.

Beat Kitchen is a cool place. Years ago, we played there. I hope, for your sake, the sound guy/system is a lot better. I literally couldn't hear a goddam thing on stage, and had to basically stand in front of the drums and hope I was keeping time.

i'm a bk vet frankie (6 shows? from back in the day). the trick is to "side fill" at the kitchen.

to "side fill" is to point youy amps across the stage, perpendicular to the crowd. 90 degree angle for the math illits...
this works b/c the crowd hears the monitors and pA, whereas onstage you get the wedges with the full mix and drums bashing in your ears.
by side filling and basically pointing the guitar amps at the opposite guitar players, you get a recreation of what you "hear" at practice.
8)

steak dinner boom.

Well I know Miller Lite is Triple Hops Brewed, but which beer is Triple Person Inducing? Hm...

I'll be really worried when you start referring to yourself in the pluperfect subjunctive.

Hey Doug, heard it was a great show. Sorry we weren't there, my guy threw me a birthday party on Saturday.

Will do what I can to make the next gig.

I don't think this is something you should be sharing with us.

alright....so, upon further review: the dat sounds good....but the mix is fucking terrible.

i'm hearing some things about the soundguy and the sound in the room that are pretty frustrating b/c it sounded kick ass onstage. i want to smack the shit out of that skinny blue haired weasel.
not happy at all.

i have confirmation that he took the "set it and forget it" approach.

so,
donspiracy and stink....if you can't hear something, please yell it out and we'll just turn up onstage and force it louder.
i'm really dissappointed in a few of my guitar buddies that were there for not saying anything at all.
