I'll defend The Strokes. I caught them at a festival show, (I think maybe at the defunct Q101 Jamboree), and wasn't interested in them prior to their appearance, but I must admit they put on a really good show. I went out and bought their album after it, and have picked up their other two albums in the following years. Their second album was decent, but I think their third album was excellent. I've also caught them with the Eagles of Death Metal a couple years ago. That was a really good lineup for a show.

Last Nite is really overplayed though, and I would have went with something different.

Guero wasn't bad, but I can't stand E-Pro. Annoying and overplayed.

Nothing. I like The Strokes a lot. Their second album was really good too. Its just the kind of song that could have been on that list.

I rarely listen to FM radio, so im fine with E-Pro, one of my favorite songs of the last 10 years.

On the other side is in my top 100 of the last 10 years

+1

That's probably my favorite Strokes song.

i like "soma".

the strokes are good. they just came at an unfortunate time in rock and roll when rock critics were getting their panties in a bunch trying to figure out "who" was going to save rock n roll, and they wanted every band that began with "the" to be the heirs to the throne.

so they got a lot of love and a lot of play, like the hives, and they're really just a good band to listen to.

if i want to play weezer i usually have to settle for "say it ain't so" or "buddy holly". meh, what're you gonna do...
