Surprised you hip hop heads haven't talked about this CD yet....I bought it yesterday and I think I've listened to it beginning to end at least 3 times already.

About the only complaint that I have is that just about every song has them getting head or something, which becomes repetitive after a while, but overall the album is outstanding.

I clicked on this thread and immediately got a banner ad for the album. Well done computer, well done.

Does anyone disagree with this? I've heard alot of friends who aren't overwhelming rap or hip hop fans say it is absolutely fantastic.

This thread is a slap in the face to Ivan and even Kid Cairo to a lesser extent.

Cant wait to hear it. The site I use had the link removed. Gotta look for it tonight again.

Spark, you should pay for this one. I did. Normally I'd find a torrent or something, but I don't mind paying for ROYCE DA 5'9" (my favorite rapper :thumleft: ).

I don't disagree with that, but I seriously doubt you'd like it Farvio. You're either a fan of hip hop or you aren't.

I'm gonna have to listen a few more times to hear if Royce is better than Em on this one. If he is, it's most likely because Em wasn't trying hard enough...

You out yo damn fool mind.

Royce has ALWAYS been on the same level as Eminem. That's why he had such a buzz before he and Em fell out. He was regarded as the only guy who could go verse for verse, line for line with Eminem on a song. And he still can. And has.

Anything with good lyrics grabs my attention. I really like some songs from Relapse. Two guys rapping about their dicks wouldnt qualify, so hopefully there's more to it then that over cool beats.

I'll end up listening to most of that cd anyway I'm guessing, alot of friends here have been talking about it and there's not a whole lot to do besides drink and listen to music down here

I'm actually not sure what this means. I know a ton of people who like certain rappers, etc that wouldn't consider themselves hip hop fans

To me rap/hip hop is like baseball. I'm never gonna turn on a baseball game over basketball or football or lots of other stuff, but if a game is on and its good I won't change the channel. And because of that I have seen some pretty good baseball games

Those folks usually like stuff with more commercial appeal. That's not a negative or anything, but when you aren't a hip hop fan, you tend to gravitate more to rap music that is created to appeal to the masses rather than a targeted group.

I agree. But eminem is ridiculously famous. So wouldn't this cd fall under that group? I just know that several friends I have down here that I know are not big hip hop fans seem to really like this cd

I've gotten through the first three songs so far. This is really good shit so far. Makes you wanna just restart the songs to catch everything.

Edit: but shit like that chick singing in the second song I can do without. The rap sounds awesome as hell buy stuff like that just sounds stupid and gets in the way to me

I gotta admit that I'm pleasantly surprised Farvio. I remember some of your thoughts on rap back when you first started posting. They weren't all that complementary. It's cool to see you stepping out a little bit.

Remember the MLB gangster hat thread? I was Steve and Ugie before it got cool here

I was way more close minded about a ton of music and other stuff before I joined the army and got to meet tons of people from everywhere

Just uneducatedly speaking(as usual) I thought Royce obviously outshines eminem on the title track. Other than that I didn't see it kid
