Have you listened to any Slaughterhouse stuff? I think they just had an EP come out that I haven't heard yet. Like 5 or 6 tracks on it probably.

Yeah, I've heard their whole first album. It's almost not even fair because Royce is just head and shoulders so far superior to the rest of them. I would've preferred to have seen Royce sign solo with Shady Aftermath. I pretty much have every album and mixtape Royce has ever done.

He will eventually. The Slaughterhouse thing is just a stepping stone for all of them, imo.

Yeah, Boom is probably one of my top 10 rap songs of all time....and definitely went thru a time in 2004-05 when my rap style was all Royce.

jesus christ yet another one eyed wonder?! MY PINEAL GLAND OVERFLOWS WITH EXCITEMENT. at least this guy's band is "and the satanics"... fucking sun worshippers. let's all dance on a checkerboard floor between pillars with women in leopard-skin outfits in front of faceless riot-geared stormtroopers next!

For the record, I've got squarepusher's one man rock band album just a souvenir going

I can't stop listening to this album.

Ihsahn - After

Sort of reminds me of In Flames.

I bought the two latest Death Cab for Cutie albums, and I'm very pleased with both of them. I was already aware of the 'Hits' from both Plans and Narrow Stairs but I found some gems in Cath... Grapevine Fires, and Marching Bands of Manhattan, and I just bought these two yesterday, so I'm sure I'll pick a few more with some more listens...

I'm all about suggestions today, so if anyone knows of any music similar to Wilco/Death cab, I'd be much obliged...

I've been craving new music, so I went to the Alternative section of Itunes and looked at the top selling albums and picked 3 randomly...(I saw Suburbs on the list so I figured it was legit) So I bought the Decemberists which turned out to be something of a Irish-rock-folk sort of thing which wasn't too bad, but not really something I'm into. But the other two I bought: Matt and Kim and the Naked and Famous was just way too electronic/80's-like for me. So I'm not trying that method of choosing new music ever again. So any help from anyone familiar with Death cab or Wilco would be much appreciated by me...

I really enjoyed Plans from front to back.

Lately I've been listening to Cage the Elephant, and a whole lot of Guster.

"A Movie Script Ending" is my favorite DCFC song ever, not sure what album it is on.
If you like the melodicism of DCFC, and the experientialism of Wilco, I've got the perfect band for you.
Go to iTunes, and buy everything you can afford by WHEAT.
They haven't written a song I haven't loved.
Trust me on this.

You may enjoy some of the earlier My Morning Jacket Stuff. Their best album in my opinion
is "Z". You might also enjoy Band of Horses. That is my two cents based on what you like.

It's the Raveonettes new album. I'm liking it so far. The last one blew, so hopefully they have returned to awesomeness. Seeing them tonight at Lincoln Hall

That cover made me think of this:

so that's what I just dug out of my garage, along with Lou Reed and John Cale's "Songs for Drella."

I would imagine that any band referred to as The Leakage would be bad, unless they were fronted by Gary Miller, Moises Alou, or Jameson Curry.

Seeing them next Friday, 3 miles from my house at Carthage College.
Big dumb rock. :D

In all honesty, I don't own any of their records, and I am kind of cramming with iTunes samples.
I saw a poster in my grocery store for the show and I thought... "wow, I've heard of that band,
and they're playing so close to home". I obviously know who Leto is, and I like to play kings and queens
on guitar hero, it just gives me and my wife an excuse to actually leave the house on a Friday night.
I think the Carthage arena holds 2000 people, pretty sure Lifehouse and The Fray have also played there
since I've lived here the last 5 years. Should be fun, I'm looking forward to it. GA tix for 47.50 for the pair.
