This wonderful morning has brought me back to the music of my youth:

Pavement-Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain
The Pixies-Dolittle
Random smatterings of Sponge, Cracker, Candlebox, and a whole heaping load of Soundgarden.

Love Sponge and Cracker. Liked Candlebox in a comedic way. Always thought Nickelback was Candlebox reincarnated.

I completely agree with the Nickleback comparison-the only Candlebox songs in the shuffle are You and Far Behind-the rest isn't all that great.

I was a sponge fan back in the '90's. Saw them perform for free this past September at the Chicagoland Speedway. They did a full set too, not just a couple songs. Still sound the same as before.

I'll never lie
I'll never try
I'll never cry for you people
I'll push you
Push you away
As you lonely people
Keep on running around my door
Yes, you lonely people
Keep on begging
Beg for more
And I'll cry for you
Yes I'll die for you

You just said you wouldn't cry for them! And what do you mean, YOU PEOPLE?

Now maybe I didn't mean to treat you oh so bad
But I did it anyway

Good fucking grief - that band sucked.

I was completely unaware that they existed, but that damn Sprint Palm Pixi commercial hooked me. I've been listening non-stop to Passion Pit. (God I love youtube) Here's the video to "Sleepyhead", the song featured in the ad.
