That's not really terrible. "Live and Let Die" is much, much worse.

No, its really terrible. Its beyond terrible. I just heard it as I ran out to lunch and forgot how mind numbingly awful that song really is. Its almost as if Axl is screeching and yelling while reading a bunch of posts from The Hawk.

Heard this pile of auditory excrement for the first time on 87.7 today.

I am having a hard time thinking of a worse singer/song matchup. She is exquisitely wrong for that song.

A doom or stoner metal band (I can't keep up with the genres) covered "Don't Fear the Reaper." I can't remember which, but an established band. I thought it might be interesting, but it was just kind of bad.

ETA: Candlemass.

American Woman - Lenny Kravitz
American Pie (that song was already terrible) - Madonna
Anyone not named Jeff Buckley that has covered Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah".
I'm sure there are plenty I could list. Maybe tomorrow...

I like Rufus wainwright’s cover of hallelujah too. Why are there different lyrics to that song?

There are about 80 verses Leonard Cohen wrote for the song. They get picked and chosen...when my oldest was a baby, it was roughly the only song that would soothe her...my wife would sing it and discovered all these verses, so she'd change it up to keep herself entertained.

Huh. I’ll be damned. Can you post a link?

His little note to his first wife when she died is brief but beautiful.

I'm not sure there's a complete collection of all of them...you'd almost have to look at individual versions for the lyrics to find the different ones.

It's been almost 6 years, so I'm pretty sure my wife doesn't still have all the ones she found before.

So I’m sitting in a restaurant and someone decided to play The Sound of Silence by the dude from Disturbed and Myles Kennedy. I’m halfway through, and all I can think is that I’d like to shove sharp objects in my ears to make it stop. This sucks.

I've been obsessively looking for it all day. I'm only finding the normal 7 or 8.
