Bob's a phenomonal songwriter. "Tangled up in Blue" may be one of the great love songs of all time. It's interesting in how he pursues changes in preception in the song.
Chances are someone who says what you said might just not be very familiar with Dylan.

Its just what I do hear on the radio or what Ive been exposed to, is bad.So yes, I'm not very famaliar with him but what Ive heard, I dont like.

Out of curiosity, I'd be interested to know what material really gets your dander up
if you happen to know the songs. If you are talking about Rainy Day Women or Rolling
Stone or one of the ones that have been killed over the years, I could understand not
being too impressed. His catalog is ridiculously large and I will be the first to admit that
he did release a lot of stinkers along the way. This will happen when you have over 50
albums to your name. Some of his best in my opinion are Nashville Skyline, Blood on the
Tracks, Desire, and Blonde on Blonde just to name a few. He's also released a copious
amount of live and demo tracks on his Bootleg series.

there's your first mistake. most of the songs played on the radio from dylan are less than great. i still think "like a rolling stone" is a great song but like tbone aptly put it, it's overkill. just like so much "classic rock".

bob dylan's one of the greatest songwriters in history.

I wish I could hear Bob Dylan on the radio. "The Loop" probably hasn't played him in years, and "The Drive" has been slowly morphing into 97.9 over the last 3-5 years. God I hate radio... At least XRT is still decent.

Went to this show on Thursday and let me just say it was awesome. Quite a visual spectacle and amazing how they built the wall on stage. Roger seemed to know the limitations of his voice and did not really push it too hard. They split the Gilmore parts up amongst one guy to sing and another to play guitar. Plus since we got there early we got to move up from our seats in the 300 level down to the 200 level. Good times all around. Except for two 50 something asshats who were standing up when the entire section was sitting and then flipping people off and what have you. I had to check to make sure that one of them wasn't Harry Teinowitz.

You're complaining that someone was standing at a concert?

No I was under the right mix of chemicals not to care much what they were doing it was the people in the section around us and them going back and forth that eventually lead to them flipping everyone off and stumbling around looking tough and then security coming by etc....etc....that made it unenjoyable. Stand up...sit down....do what you like but you don't have to be an asshat about it.
