Pearl Jam at Wrigley this summer?

http://wxrt.cbslocal.com/2013/01/22/pea ... staytuned/

Lots of rumblings today from Pearl Jam fans about an upcoming announcement. The band notified fans on Facebook and Twitter to #StayTuned. And mysteriously, the Chicago Cubs told us to do the same. So, I guess we better stay tuned.

Follow 93XRT on Facebook and Twitter for updates and check back here soon. We’re on the case!

I can appreciate Pearl Jam as much as the next guy, but these Wrigley Field concert acts are bordering on parody with their decidedly non-"urban" appeal.

I saw the Police @ Wrigley Field and the best part of the show was hooking up with a massage therapist from Philadelphia (female) and going over to the Cubby Bear for a Rock Star type show where an audience member (also female) got up and absolutely nailed the vocals for "Tom Sawyer."

I've been looking to finally take in Bonnaroo, so I look around every so often to see rumblings of who might be playing. Read an interview Jim James did on Reddit the other day that appears to place him in the lineup.

Probably in support of the solo album he's dropping in a few days.

"KMFDM" is playing... I wanna say the house of blues on sat 3/23... but two things:

1) "KMFDM" is in quotes cuz to me KMFDM is Sasha, Gunter, and in each (arguably Raymond "pig" watts too if you wanna go there) and nowadays "KMFDM" is Sasha, his bitch aka the chick from drill, and whoever else.

2) there's a CSFMB bulls game that night and imma be there. If doors open at 9 then there's no way in hell I cut short a CSFMB outing to take a ~$20 "fuck it" cab from the UC to the HOB.

If there wasn't the game I'd be there.

That will mark 2 things I'm not doing on my birthday.

For a very short time in 7th or 8th grade this was my favorite band (courtesy of Zoltar and his Industrial Zone). Took a gander at Stubhub only to see tickets were $75+ .

I saw them in October of 1995....with two bands I have never heard of. god lives underwater and these dread-locked guys in Adidas gear named Korn. I pretty much stopped listening to KMFDM after this show.

Zoltar the brother from another planet. I remember seeing him @ metro, methinks for the Cubunate/Acumen show circa august 96.

He was a tall muscular black dude in what looked to be Vegeta's traditional saiyajin armor. He had knee high boots with giant 15 pieces of flair styled kneepads on them. He looked like a saiyajin from DBZ what can I say? The brother was from another planet.

At this juncture in my life, if I could go back to any period I'd go back to 95 when the dialup BBS scene was only starting to show signs of age at the behest of the internet. I used to wait til local long distance calls were free at 9pm and do my board thing, ultimately figuring what wares to queue up to download as I slept. Circa 9-10pm zoltar's show, the alternative beat, would start up on Saturday nights. In the first hr he'd play the NIN/filter/gravity kills (cuz ur guiiiillllltttyyyy) and even kmfdm's juke joint Jezebel type songs that got nibbles of normal airplay throughout the week, or were on a Hollywood film soundtrack as it were. My midnight or 1am he'd start digging in the crates and dust off some front 242 (welcome to paradise!) Spahn ranch front line assembly skinny puppy / download or thrill kill kult... hell I remember hearing the electric hellfire club on there. Souch relatively great stuff I was totally =D

Then circa 1am as alternative beat (later industrial zone) was winding down, channel 26 or something would air JBTV (I bet JORR has JB/TV stories) and you'd see music videos for stuff you'd have a hard/er time seeing on MTV, if at all. I mean, even seeing bjork's army of me song was relatively cool (still my favorite song by her. I was always tickled that my bottom bitch ex was a huge bjorl fan with b stickers and stuff. I left her with aphex twin stuff to provide a capital A to her lower case b. Also afx teabagges bjork IRL a few times so that was always =)

Would LOVE to see George Strait on his final tour...unfortunately the closest he gets to me is Kentucky. Can't even begin to afford the tickets!

And would love to see Kenny Chesney, except it's on a Thursday, and my supervisor (2 person payroll office) goes every year.

My fantasy concert would be: The Cult, Billy Idol and AC/DC

Thanks for the tip. Outsides of seeing them on various music fest lineups, I dont know a lot about them. One of my buddies has been telling me to check them out and I havent had the motivation enough to do so yet.

Minus the Bear and Rah Rah: Metro 3/3/13 for the Lady's birthday.

We'll be trying for Pearl Jam tickets for sure.

Probably see Deftones when they come around this summer.
Summerfest on June 29th. Come celebrate doug's 38th birthday in Milwaukee!
