I went out last year, and got to my local record store about 15 mins before they were scheduled to open up. There was only about 10 people waiting outside, so I thought "Great, maybe I will be able to get a few things". Well it turns out they were actually letting people wait in the store also, so I ended up being behind close to 50 or 60 people. I don't think I will be going out for that again unless there is really something that stands out on the release list. It's gone from being a special thing where bands release a special 7" of a couple new songs, to now bands just mostly having special vinyl "releases" of albums that have been out for decades. RSD has jumped the shark. Keep it...

pretty good weather and coffee this morning, so i was a bit positive.... going back to when the band was proper, aka sascha gunter AND en esch, thank you drive through.



accept no imitations. or chicks from drill that sascha fell in love with and just.... man i saw drill. she had a nice rack, i will give her that. but i was more there for the chemlab and sister machine gun part of the show.

but then i suppose it was kind of like when morcheeba opened for aphex twin at the vic. good luck with that.

Love that Welch song. I probably still listen to the first album more than any of the others in her discography but it's hard to beat Time (The Revelator).

reminds me a little of kathleen edwards' "mercury". that song rivals springsteen's "the river" in describing pathos in rural life.
