Anything that isn't an arena, Chicago Theatre, or Congress Theatre is ok in my book. House of Blues is on notice though.

listening to some Steve Earle songs on Youtube:

Someday, one of the few songs I learned on guitar before my music career ended in a horrible salad accident:

Is that the place where the roof started to collapse during a show a few months ago?

I've seen them live 3 times and they are really good. They are playing the Aragon in December which would be
an alright place to see them.

I should have said they were good live based on that performance. Never seen them. Loved the energy.

This is so choice:

Anyone listen to Tweedy's new album? I have a 4-hour drive this afternoon. Was thinking about using this as a soundtrack.

i don't think you really want to risk falling asleep while driving, you could drive into a ditch or something

CAN is one of those bands whose name I've seen in countless music magazines since I was a kid.
Never heard any of their music until just this afternoon.
It's really fucking good, and WAY more accessible than I would've ever thought.
I give it a thumbs up.

Can is really damn good -- strong arguments can be made for Jaki Liebezeit being the best rock drummer of all time -- but I'm not sure I'd call Tago Mago accessible. I'm not sure I'd consider any 14-minute jam culminating in a homeless Japanese man screaming "I'M GONNA KILL YOU!!!!" over a 300-bpm drum machine "accessible." Ege Bamyasi and Future Days are much easier to digest.

That's a different cover than the one I'm familiar with, which has a head with a speech bubble made of the same swirly material as his brain so that he is "speaking his mind."
