Maybe. It's really stripped down and simpler than Arcade Fire or Broken Social Scene. Kinda Jack Johnson style musically (lo-fi chill vibe) but without JJ's cheesy-ness.

Sirius channel 4 is counting down the top 1000 country music songs of all time. Been listening to that whenever I'm in the car over the past several days.

Here is a link to the actual list. Garth's Friends in Low Places given the #1 slot over Pasty Cline's Crazy.

yea, lots of debate in that link I posted. I imagine it would be pretty difficult to rank the top 1000 of anything so not gonna nitpick, but there seems to be some recency bias going on in that list as some of the new people are definitely over represented and seeded too high.

I listen to that at times. most people don't know who the fuck Ernest Tubb is so they have to throw in the Brooks & Dunn stuff.

The Hallmark Channel has replaced the top 1000 country songs. Not bad!

Going thru my vinyl duplicates to see which copies are better so I can sell or donate the inferior ones.
I gotta get this on CD so I can listen to it outside.
Perfect weather for this record.

Some Girls is not underrated, GoldenJet. Also, I am not listening to Some Girls right now.

I've been in the process of going thru a bunch of vinyl from my late F-I-L. I haven't heard alot of this stuff since I was a kid.
"Still They Ride"....whoah.
I forgot how good Neil Schon was...not to mention everybody else in the band. Perry, Steve Smith on drums, that guy doesn't even do his best work on Journey music....

Today's Steve Smith is a completely different drummer when it comes to playing the Journey stuff now.

I didn't know he was still in the band. I assumed it was probably down to Schon and Cain by now...
Steve Smith is amazing.

They brought him back when Deen Castronovo went off the rails. I would rather see this version:

So if Deen is back with Journey Through Time, what is Steve Smith doing? Are there 2 versions of Journey now?

I thought Journey was down to being a Journey tribute band with like 2 original members and a Filipino child.

I follow Steve Smith on Twitter and have no clue what he's up to.

Boyd's take sounds about right

That's what I thought too.
I haven't exactly been following their career trajectory.
But now I'm blasting Frontiers, and Infinity is next....

I'll take "King of Pain" any day over that song, especially when Stewie is doing his orcz thing and Sting decides to start dreaming about blue turtles in a fucking Police tune.

oh my bad. I got the impression that you were a percussionist and might appreciate the video.
It won't happen again.
