We forgot about this one. Beatles Rooftop Concert.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXjsM1zcH1g

Amazing historical document and their last concert ever together.

Incredible version of "I've Got A Feeling".

That Live Aid cut of Bad by U2 is something I always return to.

ANY live track by Talking Heads wipes the floor with the studio version. Same can be said about Ween.

Would’ve preferred U2’s set to be at night . I don’t know , concerts lose a little bit in the the daylight for me .

I think I generally agree, but I also think it's pretty cool when you're in a football stadium with 80,000 people and you can kinda see a panorama of the audience and how they're reacting. At the same time, I love the Champions League because those are usually weekday night games and the atmosphere is a little more palpable because people came from other countries on a Tuesday night to be there.

Jeff Beck at Ronnie Scott's is amazing. I don't know what I did with my Blu-ray. Probably sold it at the record store.
Tal Wilkenfeld FTW.

Although I do love "You Make Me Real" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-k6J1hHjBY

and "Love Me Two Times" live - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxsMmOJk3zs

I was at St. Patrick's Day in 2017, Halloween in 2018, and Riotfest 2019. I think that the 2004 Show would have topped Halloween for me...

That and the Crossroads concert were insane with Vinnie on drums and Tal on bass.

For as big a fan of theirs as I am I've only seen them live at Bonaroo in 04 and at the Aragon in 09. Some of this can be blamed on Gene's addiction.

Addiction? As a drummer I acknowledge all the greats...but there is just something special about Claude Coleman Jr. he holds that whole thing together while singing back up vocals.

Gene went to rehab like a week or two after the Aragon show in 09. They didn't tour for MANY years after that.

He's not.

It may have been posted before, if so he/she was right but I'm not going to read this whole thing....

Where does his guitar go when he throws it? It disappears.

They were both amazing front men in different ways. Both were very good eras for Van Halen. There was definitely a unique magic with Dave, but no one can tell me if they had a band and were given a chance to have Sammy front the band, they wouldn't jump at it. Great singer, great performer. Wrote some great songs in and out of VH.

I have always thought Hagar was better, and I know that is considered a terrible opinion by many. But I liked the Hagar VH era better. Hagar is clearly the better singer, and a pretty good performer as well.

To me, Van Hagar had better front to back abums. Roth era had the bets hits, but some of the album filler was garbage.

I'd actually have to go the other way. I thought the deeper cuts were weaker in the Hagar era. I thought most of the deeper cuts in the Roth era were fantastic. A fairly obscure song like D.O.A. for example is an all-time rocker.

The thing with Roth is he had such a unique style so when you mixed that in with a very unique guitar and unique sounding drums you got this insane sounding band that didn't sound like anyone else. I'm not a Hagar hater or anything that era had its moments too.

Reading the story about why Prince did it and how nobody really knew what he was going to do is pretty cool. Makes the reactions of Petty and Harrison's kid funnier.
