I like that song but it is one of those songs that fat drunk redneck women think they can belt out on karaoke night. Crazy by Patsy Cline seems to be another favorite.

Gotta love a song about a mother sending her daughter out to be a prostitute in order to make money...

KS I'm probably one of the few on here that enjoys good country music. That being said, Taylor Swift, Reba, Lady Antebellum, and Tim McGraw are all hot garbage. Now I'm not surprised you like Tesla

Lady Gaga is transvestite garbage. God, your taste in music sucks KS

Hint KS: 95% of new country is that shitty ass pop Nashville sound. Of course you'd like it

Just stating a fact with the Gaga stat Farvio. Never said I like her/him. Over the last 5 years, in all of Music Entertainment, Gaga and Taylor are 1 and 2 in gross revenue.

Billy Currington, Jason Aldean, Josh Thompson, The Zac Brown Band, Miranda Lambert and a slew of others would beg to differ.

Taylor, Lady A, and Carrie Underwood are all crossover artists. No question. However their songs rooted in country are just as darn country as their predecessors.

No, they are not. And that was a stupid statement

No who is not what?

See there you go. Can you not respond to somebody who isn't one of your board buddies without the condescending shit? "That's shitty", "You're fucking stupid", "Typical coming from you" etc...... shit.

I don't have board buddies. Taylor swift and Lady Antebellum are as country as Hank Jr huh? This is why you get condescending responses KS. Same with your Lebron trolling. You're the Skip of the board. If you actually believed some of the ridiculous stuff you spout it might be different

I like "Live like you were dyin" and a few others, but considering the amount of songs/albums he has done that's a tiny percentage

Whatever KS, you're Lebron comments after the Finals defined trolling pretty much.

Faith and Shania suck IMO. Keith has some good songs and some bad ones. Paisley is ok but he makes his music specifically for radio, like most of the other artists you mentioned. That's fine and it makes them alot of money and famous. And it also significantly limits their ability to make good music.

It's fine if you like Taylor Swift more than Hank Jr or think she's more talented. But to say she's every bit as country as her predecessors is not an opinion. It's a false statement.

We have a classic country station down here that I listen to from time to time. My wife listens to the new stuff, I don't really care for it. It all sounds the same. There used to be character in classic country. SHe has come to appreciate the old songs.
That station takes me back to my youth. When we would take vacations, my dad would either find a baseball game or a country music station on the radio. The old stuff is damn good.

I have one country playlist, and yes it looks way, way, way better than anything with that group of suckage attached to it.

Fwiw, keep Alan Jackson and Willie and delete the rest.

It started with me finding out El Paso was a cover by the Dead. I told my dad I liked Marty Robbins and he gave me the rest of the names of that time. Very good stuff
