See, even you and I can find common ground. You can still feel free to fuck off, though.

Have you heard the new album? It's pretty good, IMO.

Ever since my lime wire got shut down I haven't listened to alot of new music. I will check it out though. I wanna say I heard 1 song somewhere and it was good.

It's been one of their better efforts since the early 90's. I think I saw it at Target today for like 10 bucks.

I remember working at Great America about 1990.
"You Sing Recording Studio". For reasons I can't remember, they (GA) offered free lawn tix to some Alpine Valley shows.

Black Crowes opned for Aerosmith.
Don Henley/Sting double headline bill.
Pretty sure I saw Damn Yankees and Eric Johnson.

I was 16.

I don't know Eric Johnson, bit the rest of that is gag-worthy.

Absolutely fantastic guitar player.
This is what he's probably most known for.

Damn Yankees featuring the Nuge is not gag-worthy. I will never forget that video when he does the guitar solo in a trench coat and kicks down a door while shredding away.

That seems a little extreme, Spany, but whatever floats your boat.

Not at all, as usual when dealing with you, just picking low hanging fruit.

My hate of the Crowes is pretty well documented around here. They are not doing anything well that hasn't been done a hundred times IMO. They just do it louder. Everybody said "see them live" - saw them once at Aragon, and they did not impress me.

Yeah, to me they're almost like a tribute band. I don't hate them, but they aren't really necessary.

I can't get my Lou Reed channel to stop playing that stupid ass live version of "Old Man" where Neil Young whines about the camera clicks fucking up his tuning and then talks about the ranch he just bought and I'm sure I've given it thumbs down more than once.

I liked the Stone Roses, but I am continually amazed by the amount of love they get on this board.

I don't get the Smiths/Morrissey. Probably because I'm not a near suicidal teenage girl carrying around a copy of The Bell Jar.
