It's called Fire & Wine. There's a picture of them on the wall near the bar. I asked the bartender about it and the owner came over. I told him that the thing I remembered most about Vai was playing the devil in the post-Karate Kid Ralph Macchio vehicle, Crossroads.

Ate there tonight lest anyone think otherwise.

Lynyrd Skynyrd. For being the paragons of Southern Rock, turns out Skynyrd's songs are mostly anti-gun/anti-violence/anti-drinking/anti-drugs and far less racist than a Sini post.

I didn't really have much use for Red House Painters in the beginning, as they were a fave of my girlfriend at the time, (early 90's).
Thought they were just another boring 4AD band. Saw them open for Heidi Berry at Park West and it was jawdropping.
Been a huge fan of Mark Kozelek ever since.
