I got ahold of the new Modest Mouse album last night. Haven't quite made my mind up about it yet. It's obviously not in the same realm of The Moon and Antartica. Johnny Marr's presence isn't all that noticable, but this is speaking as someone who is far more familiar with Modest Mouse than his work with The Smiths. |

Am I the only person that thinks "Good news..." is better then "The Moon..." |

Probably not the only person, R&B, but you're certainly in the minority. I happen to think that Good News... is an excellent album in its own right, I just like The Moon... better. |

i'm more of a built to spill fan, but i really liked Moon & Antarctica. I only have a few albums from them, but really liked that one and This is a Long Drive... haven't gotten their last album (though a friend promised to burn it for me and never did) and am intruiged by their new release coming out. |

modest mouse is actualy playing an outdoor show here in bozeman...on march 17. and i thought pearl jam in october 2000 would be the coldest show ive ever seen.. and it will be because that stupid band booked the show here the week when college is closed for spring break. |

Not a Modest Mouse fan, but I might check it out to see what Johnny Marr adds. Man, there's one hell of a guitarist. You'd never guess that Smiths music is hard to play, but he does some really unique and intricate stuff. Difficult in its subtlety. What a fine band, The Smiths. |

The only album I really really really like by this band is "This is a Long Drive for Someone With Nothing to Think About." |
