What are some songs that were super popular but have questionable/horrible/weird themes in its lyrics? For example, Hook by Blues Traveler is literally John Popper making fun of pop music and the consumers who buy anything. |

Coming from a guy who readily consumed almost everything that's a bit ironic . |

Pumped Up Kicks by Foster The People is about a kid about to shoot up his school. "All the other kids with the pumped up kicks. You'd better run, better run, outrun my gun … You'd better run, better run, faster than my bullet." |

I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die Always think of this when people hate on modern lyrics for being too violent. Folsom Prison Blues is one of the best songs ever though so it's cool |

"One In A Million" by the Guns N Roses. If that song were written and released today, the backlash would end the band. It's basically Axl going on a racist rant. |

I like a few of their songs. And I certainly respect their stance towards TicketBastard. But, when I heard you say that they ONLY repeated five songs at their second show at Wrigley, I burst out into laughter. To me, a real ass band can play four consecutive nights, and not repeat a song. These are just my opinions. They require no eye rolls or heated argument in response. |

When a band's songs are 32 minutes in length, its easier to not have a repeat. There are bands out there that play entire tours which are 80-90% the same setlist. And I'm not talking bands that have 2 albums out or something. Rush and U2 have been guilty of this, and I quite like the latter. |

I don't like anything U2 has done since Zooropa. I have no idea why so many people love them. |

Upon further review, I would like to strike this comment from the record. I looked at the PJ setlists from Wrigley, and they played about 30 songs per show. That's more than Phish usually does. So, at least you get your money's worth. I just don't want to hear the same song from one night to the next. And when I say the are over-rated, they wouldn't be on my top ten list of over-rated bands. Off the top of my head, the list starts with U2, AC/DC, Kiss, and Coldplay. |
