Found this ambling through Youtube. To my ear, this guy is amazing, very listenable, but hard to keep up with. I've learned more about him since, but just as a drummer, what are your thoughts? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dC9CNMMif-c |

Yeah, he's really good. From a bass player's perspective: you better be on point with your rhythm, cause he's doing his own thing, but his thing is cool. Its intricate and imaginative and (most importantly) silky smooth. |

Indeed. I've seen him before doing cymbal demos - nice combination of power and grace. Serious groove and that left hand is killer. Well composed, too. |

Dude plays piano as well, but it seems to be more of a percussion thing, playing random notes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5gZKPiHXbk |

Needs to slow down a little, so it isn't all chaos. Hardly qualifies as jazz. Want to see a guy that can really drum, check out this guy from Peter Gabriel's band. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnwG2Pg0X1o |

I'm not sure what brand kit he's playing, but that snare sound is great. And having about $5K in cymbals would be nice too! |
