Please stop, Robert. You were one of the greats, but this is just horrible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKKeC5ywPgg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhowFSX29DQ Compared to good Robert Plant. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R80lm-GP0s4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UINidbbvGFM |

No thanks. Take a cue from Daltrey. Do the Zep shows people want and go off into Valhalla. |

Looks like the YT clips have already come down, so I can't judge; the album's not due until October. I am perpetually happy he hasn't acquiesced to a Zep reunion. He can't hit a lot of those notes anymore, and I, for one, can't stand when a band has to dial the key down several notches to accommodate an aging singer. He has nothing to prove, doesn't need the money, has already recorded and toured with Page 20+ years ago (after which he simply did not have any desire to do the big arena "rock star" type shpws or music anymore). He did the Zep one-off charity (?) gig ten years ago, and it was not very good. He is happy doing the kinds of music he wants to do/is capable of doing at an advanced age. Good for him. |
