I'd think you of all people wouldn't want to open the moderation flood gates.

Heard a new band people talk about now finally. Fleet Greta something. Sounds like Zep. Cool.

Greta Van Fleet, and yeah, they do a good Zeppelin impression, but I have trouble with bands as baldly derivative as they are (see also: Tame Impala). I'll stick to the originals.

It's like Zeppelin with an average guitar and drum player instead of Page and Bonham. Not terrible but I think the "good Zeppelin impression" description necessarily needs to be tied only to the singer. This band isn't even close to Zeppelin territory, sort of invalidating for the millionth time Rick's hypothesis that music inherently gets better with every generation.

Right. This thread is proof that brick is full of shit.

I don't know who this band is but if they are just copying then of course they won't be better. Tributosauraus is not better than The Beatles.

Hearing more and more of Greta Van Fleet.

In my younger years, I'd be more turned off by their blatant direct copy of the Zeppelin vibe, but I think the sad state rock of rock today is allowing me to look past that. They sound pretty damn good.

I have heard good from them. This weekend though they played a song I had to turn off. Way too screamy.
