Alright, 2 shows this weekend. Who's goin? The gay piano man is playin'. Tickets are goin' for like $165 and up. What the fuck. In case you can't make these, he has another 2 shows at Allstate Arena next year. Should be some good tail there too. |

Probably be a pretty good show but it never once crossed my mind to try to go and see him. |

Love Elton, but no thanks on seeing him now. Same with Phil Collins...huge fan, but the guy can barely walk. |

When I saw the Phil Collins comment earlier this week I looked up a review. He can sing still but sits on a stool with a cane mostly. At least for the start of the tour. Same review said Rod Stewart came through earlier for same thing and can not sing at all anymore and is stealing money. Elton has a good show and always has a great band. I haven't liked the way he sang for a long time now. Its not he can't it is just so different than his earlier days. Many older ones are like that. |

What am I missing with Elton John? "Love Lies Bleeding" is really good, but most of his songs are kind of boring to me: while I won't ptfb if a song comes on the radio, I never listen to any other songs of his by choice. |

Almost nothing of his that’s played on today’s radio is any good, with the exception of Rocket Man and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. You have to go to older deep cuts for the gems. |

CH going deeper is correct. Aside from that though you have to remember before your time during the 70s him and Taupin basically put out a number one LP every year of the decade. Maybe more. So parents listened a lot and kids too either on their own or osmosis. He was a big part of the soundtrack of that generation. |

It's his best song other than Your Song. |

I think part of the problem is that I grew up with so much Ben Folds Five that I only have room in my heart for one guy who plays a piano with his fists. |

Sad about The Rod Father, saw him 10 years ago or so at the U.C. and it was an awesome show. Played in the round, tight band and a solid show song selection-wise as well. They could always go the KISS route and just play against backing tracks.... |

Now go clean the wax out of your ears and massage your face on a power sander. |

I like Elton John and Billy Joel so I should have seen them together because I dont like either enough to see them on their own. |

ok now that his 4 Chicago shows are over, I can spill the beans and give a full-ass video of a recent show. I'ts kinda like getting the answers to a test after the test happened. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xq83XA5 ... e=youtu.be |
