https://www.billboard.com/articles/colu ... g-away-now Quote: Bono ended U2’s concert in Berlin on Tuesday night (Nov. 13) with some intriguing words about the band’s near future. “We’ve been on the road for quite some time, just going on 40 years, and this last four years have been really something special for us,” Bono told the crowd at the end of the show. “We’re going away now.” Hard to weep too much if it's true. They didn't leave anything on the table. If Bono is gonna keep falling off bikes and blowing out vocal cords, maybe it's best to leave us with just the memories. |

They will probably take a one- or two- year break, then go out again. |

I mean, "Vertigo" was used to sell a whole lot of iPods, and Bono has made himself awfully cozy with some very wealthy people. I'll give him that. But "the band of Corporate America" doesn't really make a lot of sense here. Trying to do a top ten of U2 here, pretty hard, just know "Where the Streets Have No Name" is necessarily #1. |

I remember the time I was incredulously scolded because I dared to question why a certain board member would spend good money (!) to see Bon Jovi (!!) at Soldier Field (!!!). Can't wait to hear the different version of this one... |

Can't wait to hear the different version of this one... I never tire of my story of Bon Jovi opening for the Scorpions many moons ago. They didn’t have enough songs and must have been surprised at a curtain call or maybe planned one. Either way they played Runaway a second time as an encore. |

That is a difficult list....but I'm putting With Or Without You at #1. The layering of guitars. The way the song builds in terms of volume and dynamics is brilliant. |

Where the Streets have no name or New Year's Day for me. Sunday Bloody Sunday would probably be in the mix too. |
