After decades of sexual abuse allegations, R. Kelly has been held legally accountable for the first time. The 54-year-old R&B singer was found guilty on all counts with a Brooklyn, N.Y. jury of seven men and five women returning the verdict on Monday afternoon after less than two full days of deliberations.

Kelly was found guilty on one count of racketeering and eight counts of violating the Mann Act, an interstate anti-sex trafficking law. He stood accused of sexual exploitation of a child, bribery and kidnapping among other disturbing crimes.

That seems... excessive.

Sounded bad but if you read what went on it's pretty bad. Some the charges are enticement of children; the sexual exploitation of children through the production of child pornography; forced labor; and exposing others to incurable communicable disease (genital herpes) kidnapping, bribery, and sex trafficking charges for 25 years. The testimony of the witnesses is brutal and it's not clear he feels much remorse. It's really a sad story. He was abused too.

They had better political connections

He should have been booked for it years ago and should have counted his blessings when the system (along with the parents of Sparkle's niece) gave him a pass for it. Instead he continued along with his criminal sexual behavior and now he gets what he gets.

post here everyone who ever collaborated with R Kelly so we can make sure all R Kelly collaborations can be publicly disavowed and... hopefully erased from existence because a lifetime movie reminded everyone r kelly is bad. lady gaga and chance have disavowed... who else needs to come forward? space jam needs a new song - maybe imagine dragons can come up with something chapelle show ill piss on you needs to be taken down from comedy central's on demand catalog, it's no longer funny in 2019

They had better political connections. You or I would have been convicted 25 years ago for the things R-Kelly did. It sickens me that a lot of women feel bad for him and others blindly defend him.

They had better political connections Nas is right, plus they had dirt on people. I think pretty soon Maxwell, like Epstein, will have dirt on her too. If I were one of them I'd have released all the info somehow. If I'm dying I'd be taking them with me. You'd like to think people would be repentant if caught and try to make up for some of the evil they participated in.

He was still able to make millions of dollars and continued to abuse kids for the next 20 years.
