I need to have the nut replaced on both my crappy Epiphone SG and my Les Paul. I haven't inspected the SG in a while, but the Les Paul nut is glued into the faceplate above the fretboard. According to
this guide, removing the nut / glue isn't that big of a deal, but I wonder if anyone has had any experience doing this, or can recommend a shop that sells bone/pearl nuts and would do the job for me at a reasonable cost. I'm inclined to go to Modern Music in Lisle, as I've rented from them in the past and they seem alright, but I have very little experience over the past few years with guitar stores in the city or suburbs, so any recommendations or suggestions are welcome.
