Sound and the Fury out NOW, I made it through half of it on the way to work this morning and it's definitely awesome. And definitely not a country album.

Checked out 4-5 reviews and they unanimously declare it amazing.

I've listened to the album about 4-5 times now, it fucking rocks.

Has anyone ever won Grammys for best country album and then best rock album? I don't know what the competition is in the rock category, but this album is pretty special.

I also hear the amine film is good as well. Gonna check that out later.

"Sing Along" sounds like the Black Keys....You can decide whether or not that's a good thing.

Bomani Jones is down with it.

That's good enough for me.

I've got no beef with this record. Some of it is pretty good. I could do without the synth-pop stuff that sounds like Waylon Jennings singing Dead Or Alive tracks. But let's not act as if this is some bold statement that spits in the eye of Nashville. That's been done and done over and over again, by everyone from Simpson's most obvious influence, Ol' Waylon himself to Steve Earle who did this kind of thing much better with the Merle Haggard meets Motorhead The Hard Way.
