Standard chas spelling issues...or it's an autocorrect, which makes me wonder what he was searching for to get it locked in his dictionary.

 It might be hard to find a bigger Motorhead fan than me, but I hate that version. It even seems like an odd thing for Lemmy to sing about.

I love "Heroes" but it seems to me to be something that really shouldn't be covered. The Jakob Dylan version falls flat. Bowie puts it across with so much emotion I don't know how it could be improved or even how one could put their own twist on it. When I hear the song I can actually see the two people at the wall.

Is it the lyrics? Musically, I always found the song to be just kind of "meh"

Yeah. I think I've read that the song was really about Tony Visconti. Or at least it started out that way. I think as he was writing it the song morphed into a story about love during the Cold War. The imagery of a couple that ended up on opposite sides of the wall is very powerful. I don't really consider Bowie a very emotional or sincere singer. So much of what he did was camp or artificial, but when he gets to that third verse in "Heroes" I actually believe he is the guy in the song who is going to try to cross the deaths trip in order to be with his love.
