Reilly will be hitting the road with Tom Morello (The Nightwatchmen) sans Assassination in July. Reilly, who like Morello grew up in Libertyville, Illinois, has played periodically at Morello's Axis of Justice shows in LA and was often present as The Nightwatchman evolved on the open mic scene in L.A.
Says Morello of the tour dates with Reilly: "When two Illinois rogues hit the road together anything can happen, and anything will. We are on a mission. It's like a Woody Guthrie/Pete Seeger combo for the new millennium. Fathers, hide your Republican daughters."
Reilly adds, "Hide ALL of your daughters."

Mark you calendars now for these dates!

7/10 -- Detroit, MI-- Shelter at St Andrew's
7/15 -- Denver, CO -- Larmier Lounge
7/17 -- Portland, OR -- Doug Fir Lounge
7/18 -- Seattle, WA -- Crocodile Cafe
7/20 -- San Francisco, CA -- Swedish American Hall
7/21 -- West Hollywood, CA -- Troubadour

Is it too much to ask for two guys from Libertiville to actually play in fucking Chicago?

I will most likely make it out to one of the shows - assuming that they don't begin @ 7:00 and the wife is in town to stay with the kids.

I like Reilly's music, and have liked everything Morello has done, but haven't heard the Nightwatchman stuff yet. It would have to really blow to change my mind.

The Ike Reilly Assassination will be headlining The Metro on June 22, which is a shame, as I'll be out of town.

Why the hold out?
I don't expect it to rock out like Rage.

I've seen them at the Double Door & his solo acustic set at Schubas.
Good time both times.

the only time i heard morello as the nightwatchman was during a recent 'sound opinions' with dero and kot. it's pretty much morello as a protest singer.

it's not the greatest thing i've ever heard, but i aplaud the effort.
