Keep trying; it gets better. Alternatively, you can barre it at the 7th fret. |

it's the easiest chord ever. stop squeezing so hard and the fret buzz will go away. If you play that chord at the 7th fret with the 6th string at the low, it's not a B Major chord. It's a Bsus chord. |

I am having that problem with several chords. I am a total newbie and am really having a time contorting my fingers for some of these chords but little by little it is starting to sound better. I still have lots of sad sounding "twang" and buzzing I am trying to work out. This is really fun though, I am really enjoying learning to play. |

Cliche, yes, but this will come with more and more practice. Master 8-10 of the basic chords and you'll be able to play about a hundred songs. |

your hands will get stronger over time...but you really do not need to push down so hard, assuming a decent guitar and the strings aren't a mile from the fretboard. |

I have 7 chords I have learned pretty well, and I have spent the last week or so just progressing through them randomly to get used to moving my fingers and hitting them correctly. I also have been enjoying learning which chords sound good together, and piecing them together in different ways and just making music randomly. I haven't even tried learning an actual song yet. Just chord jumping and learning strum patterns. Seriously, had no idea it would be this fun. |

That is a fun area to jam out in. Play that B, and then mess around with the 2nd and 3rd strings and find some stuff that sounds cool to you. Invert the 1 and 3 to a 3 and 1, make it an E, alternate keeping those 2nd and 3rd strings open. |
