Funeral, the Cars s/t, Outlandos d'Amour, Music From Big Pink. I'm a big fan of Get Away From Me but I don't expect much Nellie McKay chat on the Chicago Fanatics Message Board. My Aim Is True kicks ass, but I think This Year's Model is even better, and some people would say Imperial Bedroom is his best (not me). |

Beastie Boys, Guns n Roses, Talking Heads, NWA, The Who, Velvet Underground, Run DMC, Eminem. Lot of great albums were debuts. Jimi Hendrix and Black Sabbath. |

Yep, it wasn't just great on its own merits, it felt like something completely new. Of course, by now, we're all tired of whoa-oh-oh songs with tambourines, but at the time it was magical. But man, did that band get bad. |
