Bradley Nowell's dog, Louie deserves to be in the Hall of Fame before the Foo Fighters.

I wouldn’t put Foo Fighters anywhere more than Offspring. I don’t know though why people over love Nirvana yet hate their drummer though.

Because he wasn't an such an outgoing buffoon in Nirvana. Or at least we didn't know he was.

You more than anyone knows being a buffoon describes many rockers.

What's so good about the Foo Fighters that they need to be put in on their first ballot? It's a meat and potatoes band.

Probably because Dave Grohl goes around kissing the ass of every rock star that ever lived.

How could they get in before someone like Westerberg who casually shits out a better song after his morning coffee than Dave Grohl could ever hope to write? Not that I think Westerberg gives a fuck about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It's a dumb concept anyway. Just a tourist attraction for a former industrial city in the Midwest.

They did do that kneel at the altar of Rush and Peart. Then I saw a recent video where they swear Bonham is greatest.

I can see an argument why bands like Foreigner and Styx are not in, despite having MANY great songs and selling tens of millions of albums. But there is no reason the Foo Fighters should be in, let alone in their first year of eligibility.

Todd Rundgren's place should have been set a while ago. Even if you just count his Producer credits (Badfinger's Straight Up (71), Grand Funk Railroad's We're an American Band (73), the New York Dolls' New York Dolls (73), Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell (77), and XTC's Skylarking (86) and Psychadelic Furs (81).

Solo recordings and those with Utopia had plenty of hits, saturating FM and AM stations for decades, not to mention a huge influence on a lot of other musicians.

Personally, he has always been my favorite musician, and has never disappointed live (he can flat out shred) and I am really glad he is finally getting recognized. He has been consistently on the leading edge of technology, making his first 'music Video" in 1967. 1967...How many of you reading this were even alive.

And on the personal level, was a father for Liv (Steven) Tyler, and his own son played minor league baseball.

Good dude, great musician, producer, engineer that deserves a seat at the table.

Again....Iron Maiden has sold over 100 million records. They still are a huge touring cash cow. They're omission says everything you need to know about the RRHOF.

A lot of people think Danny Carey is the "greatest" living drummer since Neil passed. He did a cover with Les Claypool of "Anthem" that rocks. The only rhythm section I can think of that could hang with Lee/Peart.

I love Danny Carey, but I'm giving the title of greatest living drummer to Jimmy Chamberlin

I saw Rex play a handful of games for the Carolina Mudcats. He was pretty good at that level and was an all star I believe. That was an AA team then for the Marlins IIRC but I don't think he ever made it to the show.

How much does Todd get paid in royalties every time the Packers score a TD?

I don't know if Boston should get in on one loaded album, but Foo Fighters got in on one song, well, hey, nothing matters. May as well induct Carly Rae Jepsen next year.
