Except that We Are The Normal is weak.

Long Way Down is a decent enough song, but overall they're about as overrated as the Foo Fighters.

JORR has solid points on Grohl. Foo are overrated. I get all that.
They're not terrible....just overrated and Grohl is annoying with his ass-licking of the industry and over-exposure.

I have the same feelings about the Eagles. I hate them....variety of reasons, but I can acknowledge they had good songs and are one of the best American bands of all time.

Eagles are kinda dooshy. Foo Fighters aren't. They were just too mainstream and that bothers music aficionados.

No one is more overrated than music aficionados.

I don't think that's exactly right. I wonder why Foo Fighters are mainstream when guys like Garth Liddiard or Dorian Taj aren't.

It's like hatin' on Kobe because Jordan existed.

They're good. So tough shit.

What do you think is good about them? They have twenty albums and maybe three songs.

"Everlong" may be pretty decent but it's not something to build a career around like "Brandy" or "96 Tears". It certainly shouldn't get you to the Hall of Fame before the guy who wrote "Unsatisfied" and "Bastards of Young".

Westerberg should be in on "Alex Chilton" alone.
